Our first "W" question comes from one our of May brides and since I asked her personally about a question I get to kick off the answer series:
"What if my mom wants to bring her own makeup and have you apply it?"

Believe it or not, we get this question alot! Sometimes the MOB does not feel comfortable giving control over to someone she does not know, and sometimes has never met. Mom can be, but not always, stuck her her own beauty routine and its a bit of a challenge to coax her out. :)
Nevertheless, the answer is that Mom can bring what ever she would like and we are happy to work with her choices of makeup.
I try to encourage MOB or MOG to try the air bush foundation that we use, and almost 100% of the time Moms are VERY happy with the results. Since we use a water based foundation, it is gentle and I can confidently say that I have never had anyone have a reaction to the foundation, even under the most sensitive skins. Sometimes, I have had mom come for her own consult just to make sure!
We always want to let our MOB and MOG stay true to who they are and encourage that. I don't want any MOB or MOG to walk out on the wedding day feeling like a totally different person.
It is not our job on your wedding day to completely change who you are and what you look like. Enhancing your look is what we are there to do and I think we do a great job at it! :)
